Black mother working on a laptop at home while her young children play nearby, reflecting the everyday balance of parenting, caregiving, and family responsibilities.

Rooted in Family, Built for Community

Mom & Medicine grew out of my own experience as a Black single mother raising a son who was born prematurely and later diagnosed with autism and several complex medical conditions. Safe to say, motherhood has looked very different from what I expected.

Despite my medical background, finding meaningful support for my son was often an uphill battle. Finding inclusive activities and childcare for our family was more challenging than it should have been. I wanted to create a place where families like mine could easily find the resources and support they needed, all in one place.

Support should be easier to find than this

That experience became the foundation for Mom & Medicine, a growing collection of resources for families raising children with disabilities and complex medical needs.

Through our digital shop, we offer practical tools, customizable templates, and checklists to help caregivers organize medical information, prepare for the unexpected, and take a few things off their already overflowing plates.

We believe every family deserves meaningful support and resources that reflect their unique needs. While much of caregiving is beyond our control, our hope is that these tools save you time, reduce stress, and make everyday responsibilities a little more manageable.
